The first thing you'll notice on the new Scatter Rap series, available in four styles, is the larger curved lip. Rapala reengineered this design because its designers wanted a pattern that more closely matched what you see when a live fish dodges and "scatters" in the water. In my tests, the Scatter Rap Crank looked lifelike in the water. Even though it is intended for bass, I used one in a river dam known for its massive carp, catching a few 10-pounders in an hour.
