Enbridge: Load oil at Great Lakes instead

To the Editor,

I would like to propose an alternative route for Enbridge?s Northern Gateway Pipeline.

Instead of running the pipeline out to Kitimat on the B.C. coast, I propose that it run to a port on the Great Lakes where the oil would be loaded onto super tankers.

From there, the tankers would navigate the Great Lakes and go out through the St. Laurence River, past the Maritimes, down the eastern seaboard of the United States, across the Atlantic and around the Horn of Africa and right up to China.

Once this proposal has met all environmental standards, been endorsed by the people and approved by the governments in question ? then come and talk to B.C. about a pipeline to Kitimat.
